Maybe they'll fire you today. Maybe they already have. They own the EEOC. The CEFA regulator's biggest concern is who stole the last donut? The FBI doesn't chase people with machine guns anymore. All the lawyers are in cahoots. Your landlord has 34 paying occupants, happy minions like you used to be, and he's become a real bother. It seems like his whole life is structured around money, and how much you have, and how desperately he needs you to hand it over. Even the Student Loan person in her office in Wyoming is sending out spies in your neighborhood to see if you're putting gasoline in your car or sending your money to the office in Wyoming. It would seem that PHH is running a far-flung predatory financial organization, and you're not part of it any more. You're just foam on the runway, just a lump of mud between Little Timmy Geithner's toes. You're fighting Sun Tzu's famous last battle, the DeathByaThousnadPinpricks. Who's blood is on the floor? Is that yours?
I'm truly sorry for your loss. I've been there. I'm a recovering client of PHH. I eat pins, and sh*t them out. Every day, I wake up, watch the sunrise, and instead of wondering 'What are those crazy people going to do today to make my life a little more miserable than it was yesterday?'...I say to myself 'What can I do today to make those bloodsuckers a little more miserable today than they were yesterday? Can I write? Can I e-mail? Can I talk on the phone? Can I plead with a judge? Can i accompany the federal marshal and go serve a warrant? Is there some data I can analyze? Can I depose someone else like me?' If there's something I can do TODAY, I do it. Tomorrow isn't here yet.
Then I go take a walk on the beach, squish the sand between my toes, try to figure out how my Lytro camera works, play with the dogs...
